About Visby Golfklubb
Visby Golfklubb, which the club markets as The One, is an 18-hole, par 72 course at Kronholmen on Gotland. It measures up to 6,248 metres. Several holes run along the Baltic shore, and the layout mixes links-style holes with more sheltered ground inland. Fairways are firm, greens undulate, and the pines are bent by the wind. Pierre Fulke and Adam Mednickson redesigned it in 2009.
- The club is on Gotland, an island in the Baltic Sea.
- Svensk Golf designated the course the best in Sweden in 2020.
- There is also a shorter nine-hole course, The Next One, alongside the 18.
- A pro shop, restaurant and driving range are on site, and accommodation is available at The Lighthouse.
History of Visby Golfklubb
The club was founded in 1958. A redesign in 2009 by Pierre Fulke and Adam Mednickson reshaped the layout. Fulke directed the reconstruction of the greens, and the same team created The Next One, a nine-hole companion.
