History of Kungl. Drottningholms Golfklubb

The club opened in 1959, when King Gustaf VI Adolf inaugurated the course on September 26. It was laid out on crown land to a design by Rafael Sundblom and Nils Sköld, and Sundblom died while the work was still under way. The course was rebuilt by Johan Benestam in a project that started in October 2010. It reopened in 2012 with new bunkering and reworked green contours.
