About Real Club de Golf Sotogrande
Real Club de Golf Sotogrande is a par 72 course at Sotogrande in Cádiz province, 150 meters from the Mediterranean and beside the Guadiaro river and the marina. Robert Trent Jones designed it, and it opened in 1964. Cork oaks, pines and palms line wide fairways, and the elevated greens run fast.
- Trent Jones named it one of his five favorite courses, out of more than 500 that he designed.
- A restoration completed in 2016 enlarged the greens by about 45 percent.
- The Andalucía Masters, a DP World Tour event, has been played here since 2023.
- The Copa Sotogrande, an annual amateur championship, is held at the club.
