Best Golf Courses in Andalusia
8 ranked courses in Andalusia
Andalusia has eight courses in this guide, and all eight are parkland. Real Club Valderrama in Sotogrande ranks highest in the region and in Spain: Robert Trent Jones Sr.'s 1975 course, renovated by Kyle Phillips in 2012. It is private, with a narrow public window of roughly two hours between 12:00 and 14:00, Monday to Thursday, booked at least three months ahead with a handicap certificate. Real Club Las Brisas in Marbella is also private and takes limited visitors through member invitations or special arrangements. Calanova in Mijas, José María Olazábal's 2006 course, is the one public course, booked online with no handicap certificate. Finca Cortesín in Casares, Cabell B. Robinson's design and a Solheim Cup venue, is the resort course. Four are semi-private. Real Club de Golf Sotogrande, Robert Trent Jones's 1964 course and a DP World Tour venue, takes visitors on selected days. La Reserva Club in Sotogrande, Robinson's 2003 course, welcomes non-members. Real Club Sevilla Golf in Alcalá de Guadaíra, by Olazábal, books online. The San Roque Club, Dave Thomas's 1990 course with bunkers redesigned by Seve Ballesteros, is mainly for members, with designated daily periods for visitors.

About Golf Courses in Andalusia
Sotogrande is the anchor, with Valderrama, La Reserva and Real Club Sotogrande in one town. San Roque and Casares (Finca Cortesín) are the next stops on the same coast, Marbella and Mijas make another pairing, and Alcalá de Guadaíra, for Real Club Sevilla, is a separate trip.
