About Finca Cortesín Golf Club
Finca Cortesín Golf Club is a par 72, 18-hole course at Casares on the western Costa del Sol, near Estepona and Marbella. Cabell B. Robinson designed it, and the fairways are wide, especially in the landing areas. The greens run fast. Elevation changes and well-placed bunkers add variety, and the round plays within sight of the Mediterranean, with the Sierra Bermeja mountains behind. It is part of a resort built around a five-star hotel.
- Olive trees line the fairways, and ravines cut across the property.
- The resort has a spa and a beach club beside the course.
- The Jack Nicklaus Golf Academy is based at the club for coaching.
- The par-5 18th has the widest fairway on the course, so a long drive can leave the green within reach.

Europe and the United States finished level at 14-14, the first tie in the history of the match, which let Europe keep the trophy.
