History
PGA Catalunya Resort was developed in the late 1990s as a dedicated championship golf complex in the cork oak forests north of Barcelona, with the Stadium Course designed by Neil Coles and Angel Gallardo opening in 1999. The course was immediately recognised as one of the finest new designs in Europe, winning European Tour Golfer's Choice awards in consecutive years of its early operation. The Tour Course (a second 18-hole layout) opened alongside, and together they established PGA Catalunya as Spain's most comprehensive resort destination outside the established Andalusian belt.
