About Verdura Resort
Verdura Resort is a golf and spa resort at Sciacca in the province of Agrigento, Sicily. The East Course is a par 73 designed by Kyle Phillips. It plays as a links-style layout across wind-exposed coastal ground, with broad fairways and sea views. A driving range and restaurants support the golf, so a round fits easily into a longer stay.
- The West Course, a par 70, is the resort's second 18-hole layout and is also by Kyle Phillips.
- The coastal ground is exposed to the wind, so club selection matters.
- Fescue grasses were planted throughout the East Course.
- The resort adds a spa, so non-golfers in a group have something to do.
History of Verdura Resort
Kyle Phillips designed the golf at Verdura as two 18-hole layouts, the East and the West. The East Course reopened in October 2021 after a redesign that rerouted the course, adding 14 new holes between three existing ones near the clubhouse. The new routing separated the East and West courses, which had previously overlapped, and left the East at par 73 and the West at par 70.
Playing Verdura Resort: tips
The course is open to the public as well as resort guests, and the resort sells golf packages, so ask about stay-and-play rates when booking. The coastline is wind-exposed, which affects club selection.
