History
TPC Summerlin (marketed as TPC Las Vegas) was developed by the PGA Tour's Tournament Players Club network and opened in 1996 as a venue for the Las Vegas Invitational — the Tour's annual Nevada stop. Bobby Weed worked with Tour player Raymond Floyd to create a desert layout that could generate quality golf for both professionals and resort visitors. The Las Vegas Invitational ran at TPC Summerlin for many years in the autumn slot, drawing significant Tour fields to the Nevada desert. The course continues to operate as a public facility managed under the TPC umbrella.
