Best Golf Courses in the Bahamas
4 ranked courses in Bahamas
The Bahamas has four clubs in this guide: three on New Providence and Paradise Island and one on Abaco. Royal Blue Golf Club at the Baha Mar resort in Nassau opened in 2017 as the first Jack Nicklaus layout in the Bahamas. Its two nines differ sharply: the front is flatter and nearer the ocean, with water in play on eight of its nine holes, while the back moves into limestone, where the downhill par-3 16th plays to a green guarded by Lake Cunningham. On southwestern New Providence, Albany Golf Club is Ernie Els's desert-links par 72 of 2010, shaped by windswept dunes within about 600 oceanfront acres. It has been the home of the Hero World Challenge, the invitational hosted by Tiger Woods for a field of 20, since 2015, and Hideki Matsuyama won it there in 2016 and again in 2025, the second time with a playoff birdie at the 18th. On Paradise Island, the Ocean Club Golf Course is a par 72 of 7,159 yards that Tom Weiskopf redesigned in 2000 from a Dick Wilson original, with views of the Atlantic and Nassau Harbor; it has hosted LPGA events and the Korn Ferry Tour's Bahamas Golf Classic. The Abaco Club on Winding Bay near Marsh Harbour, opened in 2004, is Donald Steel and Tom Mackenzie's tropical take on Scottish links, with pot bunkers on dune-style ground, a front nine along Winding Bay and a back nine on a ridge with wider views over the water.

About Golf Courses in Bahamas
Winter and spring are the most comfortable seasons for golf in the Bahamas, and summer is hot and humid. Royal Blue is open to the public as well as Baha Mar guests and books online through the Baha Mar website, and the Ocean Club takes reservations through the Atlantis golf page all year, with twilight tee times that suit a summer round. Albany is a resort course within a residential community, so contact it directly, particularly in December, when the Hero World Challenge is played. The Abaco Club has no public tee sheet and plays for members and their guests.
