About The Abaco Club on Winding Bay
The Abaco Club on Winding Bay is an 18-hole links-style course on Abaco in the Bahamas, near Marsh Harbour. Donald Steel and Tom Mackenzie designed it, and it opened in 2004. The course is a tropical take on Scottish links golf, with undulating dune terrain and wind as a regular factor. The front nine runs along Winding Bay, while the back nine sits on a ridge with wider views over the water.
- Pot bunkers dot the undulating, dune-style ground, and wind is a regular presence across the property.
- El Diablo, an 18-hole putting course designed by Darren Clarke, sits beside the Birdie Bar.
- The Perch, an oceanfront deck, sits between the 17th green and the 18th tee.
- The club hosted the Great Abaco Classic, a professional tour event, in years when it ran as a Web.com and Korn Ferry Tour stop.
History of The Abaco Club on Winding Bay
