About Ålands Golfklubb
Ålands Golfklubb sits at Kastelholm on the Åland Islands, and its Slottsbanan (Castle) course leads the club. The 18 holes run beside Slottssundet bay with views over the sea and the medieval castle. Architect Philip Spogård rebuilt the course in a renovation that ran from 2018 to 2020, and it reopened in summer 2020. The clubhouse overlooks Slottsbanan and has a pro shop, a restaurant, changing rooms and a sauna.
- Kastelholm Castle, which dates to the 14th century, stands beside the course.
- Kungsbanan, the second 18-hole course, is forested, with fairways of varying width and some elevation change.
- Prinsessan is a short course that sits alongside the two full-length courses.
- Slottsbanan has been named Finland's best course and has won awards for beauty, conditioning and design.
