About Linna Golf
Linna Golf is an 18-hole championship course on the Vanajanlinna estate outside Hämeenlinna, in southern Finland. Tim Lobb of European Golf Design laid it out, and it opened in August 2005. The holes run through pine and birch woodland, with lakes and water hazards coming into play on several of them. It belongs to the European Tour Destinations network and sits beside Hotel Vanajanlinna. Facilities include a driving range, practice greens, a pro shop, a restaurant and a golf school.

History of Linna Golf
Linna Golf grew out of the Vanajanlinna estate, where Carl Wilhelm Rosenlew began building a manor in 1918; it was completed in 1924. The golf course followed in 2005, designed by Tim Lobb. The 15th hole came from a Golf World design contest for readers, won by Dave Sampson. The course has been a stage for top amateur and professional golf. It hosted the Finnish Open, the European Amateur Championship in 2010, the European Amateur Team Championship in 2014 and a European Tour Properties Senior Classic. The 2026 European Amateur Championship was played here in June and won by Germany's Tim Wiedemeyer on 271.
