About Westchester Country Club — West Course

The West Course at Westchester Country Club is a private 18-hole, par 72 championship layout in Rye, New York. Walter Travis designed it, and later work by Rees Jones, Ken Dye and Tom Fazio updated it. The ground is hilly and heavily wooded, so holes play uphill and downhill, with doglegs turning both left and right. Fairways undulate and the greens are boldly contoured, and low scores prove hard to come by.

  • Inbee Park won the 2015 KPMG Women's PGA Championship here by five shots, her third straight win in the event.
  • Jack Nicklaus won the first Westchester Classic played here, in 1967.
  • The U.S. Women's Amateur was staged here in 1923 and again in 2021.
  • The club has its own beach facility on Long Island Sound, with an outdoor pool and restaurant.

The 2011 Senior Players Championship followed, and the Women's PGA Championship came in 2015.
