About The National
The National's Links course sits at Bara, east of Malmö, and is a par 72 designed by Kyle Phillips. It opened in 2009 and measures up to 6,835 metres. Although it lies inland, it is built in the style of a Scottish links, with firm rolling fairways, large undulating greens, pot bunkers and very few trees. Phillips also designed the resort's Lakes course, and there is an Academy course for practice.

History of The National
The resort opened in 2009 under the name PGA Sweden National, with Kyle Phillips designing the Links course and the Lakes course. It is now simply The National. In 2015 it staged the European Tour's Nordea Masters.
Signature holes at The National
A natural stream crosses several holes, and the property has about 20 metres of elevation change.
Playing The National: tips
The course is open to the public, and visitors book tee times through the resort. The resort also has a hotel, restaurant, pro shop and driving range, so a round can be combined with an overnight stay.
