About Sokhna Golf Club

Sokhna Golf Club is a 27-hole facility at Km 34 on the Sokhna–Suez Road in Ain Sokhna, in Egypt's Suez Governorate. The holes form three nines, called A, B and C, which are paired into 18-hole rounds. John Sanford and Tim Lobb are credited as the architects. The fairways undulate gently, and lakes and bunkers are placed through the layout. The club lies roughly an hour from Cairo.

  • The three nines are paired into 18-hole par 72 rounds.
  • Platinum paspalum grass covers both the fairways and the greens across the course.
  • The 2026 Ein Bay Open on the Alps Tour was played here and won by Sam Murphy.
  • A pro shop and a driving range are on site.

History of Sokhna Golf Club

The club comes from a joint venture between El Ein Bay (Galalah) and Little Venice (Hassan Allam). The El Ein Bay course was designed by Thomson Perrett & Lobb, with Tim Lobb as its architect. It was planned for the widest range of golfers, to international specifications.
