About Sea Island Golf Club – Seaside Course
The Seaside Course at Sea Island Golf Club is an 18-hole links-style layout on St. Simons Island, Georgia. Tidal creeks, dunes and salt marshes surround the holes, and the Atlantic Ocean forms the backdrop along the edges of the property. The look is rugged: big clamshell bunkers and exposed sand dunes frame the fairways rather than rows of trees. Wind off the water shapes almost every shot, and it is often the defining factor in how the course plays.
- Seaside and the resort's Plantation Course share the RSM Classic, a PGA Tour event, and have done so since 2015.
- Davis Love III, who lives at Sea Island, is the official host of the RSM Classic.
- Caddies are available at Seaside, and the resort describes them as coach, strategist and guide in one.

History of Sea Island Golf Club – Seaside Course
The first Seaside nine was designed by H.S. Colt and C.H. Alison and opened in 1929. Joe Lee later added the Marshside nine, which sat alongside it as a separate course. In 1999 Tom Fazio joined the original Seaside holes with Marshside to create the 18 holes played today, keeping Alison's clamshell bunkers and exposed sand. Davis Love III described the result as turning two mismatched sets of holes into one coherent course.

The 13th is a par 4 of about 409 yards, with marsh to the left and bunkers on the right, and it is one of the places on the course where the ocean views open up.
