About Ridgewood Country Club
Ridgewood Country Club is a private 27-hole facility in Paramus, New Jersey, designed by A. W. Tillinghast and dating to 1929. Its three nines are named East, Center and West, and the championship course is a composite that borrows holes from all three. Played in that form, the course is a par 71. Six years after the nines opened, the club staged the 1935 Ryder Cup, which the United States won.
- The composite routing runs East holes 1 to 7, then Center holes 2 to 6, then West holes 4 to 9.
- Jerry Pate won the 1974 U.S. Amateur here, and Lee Trevino won the 1990 U.S. Senior Open.
- The club has staged four FedEx Cup playoff events on the professional tour.
- Because the club has three full nines, its 27 holes can be combined in different ways for different events.

The 12th on the championship routing is the Center nine's hole nicknamed Five and Dime, and it is the most talked-about hole on the property.
When to play Ridgewood Country Club
Ridgewood is private, so the best time to play is whenever a member invites you. New Jersey has warm summers and cold winters, so late spring and early autumn are usually the most comfortable for a round.
