About Olgiata Golf Club

Olgiata Golf Club is a parkland club about 15 miles north of Rome, with an 18-hole West course and a nine-hole East course. Charles Kenneth Cotton designed the original course. The West course is tree-lined, with undulating fairways and bunkers.

  • The nine-hole East course gives a shorter option when time is tight.
  • A caddie service and an academy with lessons operate from the club.
  • The club has a restaurant, a bar and a sauna.
  • The 2019 Italian Open was part of the Rolex Series.

History of Olgiata Golf Club

Olgiata opened in 1961 with Cotton's design, which Jim Fazio remodeled in 1996, adding water hazards in the form of lakes and streams. It staged the 1984 World Cup and the Italian Open in 2002 and again in 2019.

When to play Olgiata Golf Club

Rome's mild spring and autumn bring the best conditions for the West course, when the trees are in leaf. Midsummer is hot, so book an early tee time.

Playing Olgiata Golf Club: tips
