About Walton Heath Golf Club
Walton Heath Golf Club is a heathland club in Surrey, with two 18-hole courses, the Old and the New. Herbert Fowler designed both. Heather and gorse line the fairways, and the greens run hard and fast. The site is open and exposed to the wind, and the toughest stretches of the Old Course are its start and finish.
- Winston Churchill was a long-time member and regular at the club.
- James Braid was the club professional for more than four decades, until 1950.
- The club has hosted the British Masters in 2018 and, in 2023, the first Women's Open held at Walton Heath.
- The European Open was a regular fixture here through the 1980s.
