About Monterey Peninsula Country Club (Dunes Course)
Monterey Peninsula Country Club's Dunes Course is a par 72 layout at Pebble Beach, California, one of two 18-hole courses at the club alongside the Shore Course. Seth Raynor designed it. The routing mixes inland holes with dunesland and a few holes on the Pacific shore, and several holes look out over the coast.
- The Dunes hosted the Bing Crosby National Pro-Am, the Clambake, from 1947 to 1964, rotating with Pebble Beach and Cypress Point.
- Alister MacKenzie is credited with helping finish the course alongside Robert Hunter after Raynor died before completion.
- The 5th is a drivable par 4, a hole where local knowledge pays off.
- The club sits beside Pebble Beach and Cypress Point on the Monterey Peninsula.
