The course offers views of the city skyline, and the club sits roughly ten minutes from Frankfurt's main railway station.
- The greens were redesigned in 2007.
- The club holds gold status in Golf&Natur.
- A driving range, short game area and putting green are on site.
- The club has won the Grünes Band award three times since 1996.
History of Frankfurter Golf Club
The club was founded in 1913, with Carl von Weinberg as its initiator and first president. It first played on a nine-hole course at Hof Goldstein before Colt's 18-hole layout opened in the Niederrad forest in the late 1920s. The German Open has been staged here regularly. In 2013 the club marked its centenary with a ceremony at the Römer.
