Best Golf Courses in Germany
5 ranked courses in Germany
Germany has five courses in this guide, and only one is open without a weekday rule. Golfclub Budersand Sylt in Hörnum, Rolf-Stephan Hansen's 2008 links, is public and takes visiting golfers year-round, with tee times spaced 12 minutes apart. The other four are clubs that admit guests on set terms. Hamburger Golf-Club Falkenstein in Hamburg, a semi-private heathland course by Harry Colt, Charles Alison and John Morrison from 1930, allows guests Monday to Friday with a DGV card or proof of membership and a handicap index of 36 or better; weekends and holidays are by invitation. Frankfurter Golf Club in Frankfurt am Main, a Colt parkland course, admits guests Monday to Friday except public holidays at a handicap of 32 or better. Golf- und Land-Club Köln in Bergisch Gladbach, Bernhard von Limburger's 1955 course, welcomes guests Monday to Friday from 1 pm: men need a handicap of 28 or better and women 36. Hubbelrath in Düsseldorf, von Limburger's 1964 course, is the one private club; unaccompanied guests from recognized clubs book ahead, with a limit of 26.4 on the East course.

About Golf Courses in Germany
Hörnum and Hamburg are the two northern stops, the Sylt links and the Falkenstein heathland. Bergisch Gladbach and Düsseldorf, both in North Rhine-Westphalia, pair as a western trip, and Frankfurt am Main in Hesse stands alone.
