- Holes are framed by forest, with a mountain backdrop.
- The Lake Course gives a nine-hole option for a shorter round or a warm-up.
- A golf academy, practice facilities and on-site lodging let you stay at the club.
- Ljubljana is about 50 kilometers away.
History of Royal Bled Golf
Golf at Bled dates to 1937, when the architect Rudolf von Gelmini laid out the first nine holes under the patronage of the Yugoslav royal family. Slovenia's oldest golf club was largely abandoned after the outbreak of World War II. Donald Harradine revived and redesigned the course in 1972. Swan Golf Designs rebuilt the greens, tees and bunkers, and the King's Course reopened on August 1, 2017, in time for the club's 80th anniversary.
When to play Royal Bled Golf
Bled is an alpine resort area, and the golf season runs from spring to autumn, with the club closed over the winter months. Check the club's website for the opening date each spring.
