Best Golf Courses in Slovenia
4 ranked courses in Slovenia
Slovenia has four courses in this guide, all parkland and all open to visitors: one public and three resort courses. Royal Bled Golf at Lesce, in Upper Carniola, is the oldest, opened in 1937 by Rudolf von Gelmini, reworked by Donald Harradine in 1972 and by Swan Golf Designs in 2017. It has 27 holes, with the King's Course leading and the Lake Course adding nine, and it sells stay-and-play packages and takes societies. Golf Grad Otočec in Lower Carniola, by Howard Swan with Peter Škofic, lies beside the Krka River near an island castle; hotel guests get a discount on green fees, and packages are sold with the Otočec Castle hotel. Diners CUBO Golf at Smlednik, designed by Škofic, is flat and treeless. The public course is Golf Arboretum at Radomlje, opened in 1998 beside the Volčji Potok Arboretum botanical park, over hilly ground of roughly 5,400 meters.
