About Pirin Golf & Country Club
Pirin Golf & Country Club is a mountain resort course near Razlog and Bansko, at the foot of the Pirin Mountains in southwestern Bulgaria. The main layout, the Ian Woosnam Course, is an 18-hole par 72 routed across the Razlog valley. The Pirin range forms the backdrop, and the layout makes use of the natural terrain.
- Roughly 80 bunkers are spread around the Woosnam Course, so accurate approach play matters.
- Bansko, a ski resort, is close by, which makes a golf-and-ski trip possible.
- The clubhouse includes a restaurant, so lunch is easy to build into the day.
- Private villas and vacation properties are part of the resort development around the course.
History of Pirin Golf & Country Club
The club was developed as the centerpiece of a resort of about 150 hectares in the Razlog valley, at the foot of the Pirin range.
Playing Pirin Golf & Country Club: tips
Bring a windproof layer, since a near-constant summer wind blows through the Razlog valley and affects club choice on exposed holes. Staying in the club's own villas keeps you at the course.
