About The Orient Golf & Country Club
The Orient Golf & Country Club is an 18-hole, par 72 course in Guishan District, Taoyuan, designed by the architect Ronald Fream. From the blue tees it measures 7,168 yards. The greens are Tif-Eagle Bermuda grass, a fast putting surface. Lakes run through the property, and the clubhouse looks out over the water, with a lakeside restaurant and a cafe both built around the view.
- The clubhouse earned a 1996 Asia-Pacific top-ten architecture award from the Japan Architectural Association, plus a Taiwan architects' magazine prize.
- It is the only golf course in Taiwan to hold the national green building mark, backed by an energy-saving and carbon-reduction program.
- The 2026 Taiwan Foxconn Ladies Golf Tournament, a JLPGA Tour event with a US$2 million purse, was played here in March.
- Black swans, mallards, egrets and a flock of sheep share the grounds with golfers.
History of The Orient Golf & Country Club
Orient was established in 1994 as a membership club, and it has stayed that way. The Hitachi charity ladies event has been held at the club.
