Best Golf Courses in Taiwan
5 ranked courses in Taiwan
Taiwan has five clubs in this guide, all in New Taipei City and Taoyuan, and four of them take visiting golfers. Taiwan Golf & Country Club in Tamsui opened in 1919 as Taiwan's first golf course, then called the Imperial Club. It looks across the mouth of the Tamsui River toward Guanyin Mountain. Miramar Golf & Country Club in Linkou is a 1995 Jack Nicklaus design with two 18-hole courses, the Southeast and the Northwest, which hold twelve ponds and 110 large bunkers between them; it has staged the Fubon LPGA Taiwan Championship. Three clubs are in Taoyuan. Ta Shee Golf & Country Club at Daxi has 27 holes redesigned by Robert Trent Jones II, hosted the 1999 Johnnie Walker Classic and the first two BMW Asian Opens, and has the Westin Tashee Resort on site. Yung Han Golf Club in Luzhu is Shunsuke Kato's treeless take on a Scottish links, 6,690 yards from the blue tees, built for a founder who admired the Old Course at St Andrews; with no trees, the wind is its main defense. The Orient Golf & Country Club in Guishan, a 1994 Ronald Fream course of 7,168 yards, is a members' club with lakes, black swans and a flock of sheep, and it held the JLPGA Tour's Taiwan Foxconn Ladies in March 2026.

About Golf Courses in Taiwan
Tamsui and Linkou make a New Taipei pairing: Taiwan Golf & Country Club books visitors through the club or agents, and Miramar takes guest reservations on part of its 36 holes. In Taoyuan, Yung Han near Taoyuan International Airport and Ta Shee at Daxi, with Westin golf-and-stay packages, both take visitors, while The Orient in Guishan needs a member host.
