About Lucero Golf & Country Club

Lucero Golf & Country Club is an 18-hole, par 72 course in the highlands above Boquete, in Panama's Chiriquí Province. J. Michael Poellot routed it over hilly mountainside ground, so holes rise and fall with the land and open onto mountain scenery. The club sits in the Caldera area of Boquete, with Volcán Barú to the west, and it plays year-round with no closed season. A clubhouse, golf shop and driving range support the course.

  • Five sets of tees let golfers of different abilities choose a suitable length.
  • Greens are bent grass, and a putting green is available for warming up before a round.
  • Accommodation on the property lets golfers combine a round with an overnight stay at the club.
  • The views from the course take in the mountains and the Pacific Ocean.

History of Lucero Golf & Country Club

The course began life as Cielo Paraiso, a mountain golf project designed by J. Michael Poellot on hilly ground above Boquete. It was later renamed Lucero Golf & Country Club, the name used today, and Poellot remains the credited architect.
