Best Golf Courses in South Korea
5 ranked courses in South Korea
South Korea has five clubs in this guide. Four are private, and the fifth, South Cape Owners Club, is played through its resort. South Cape sits on a cliff on Namhae in Gyeongsangnam-do, near the southern end of the Korean Peninsula. Kyle Phillips designed it, it opened in 2013, and all 18 holes have views of the water, with the par-3 16th played over the sea to a green on a cape. The Club at Nine Bridges, at Seogwipo on Jeju, opened in 2001 to a design by Ronald Fream and David Dale of Golfplan, with Zoysia fairways, bentgrass greens and Hallasan Mountain behind; the name comes from nine basalt stone bridges built into the routing. Jack Nicklaus Golf Club Korea opened in 2010 in the Songdo district of Incheon, ringed by high-rise buildings, and staged the Presidents Cup in October 2015 and LIV Golf Korea in May 2025. Anyang Country Club, which lies in Gunpo rather than the neighboring city of Anyang, opened in 1968 to a Chohei Miyazawa layout that Robert Trent Jones Jr. redesigned in 1997. Woo Jeong Hills Country Club at Cheonan is a 1993 Perry Dye design of 7,225 yards, with water beside 16 holes and an island green at the par-3 13th. It has held the Korea Open since 2003 and hosted the DP World Tour's Genesis Championship in 2025.

About Golf Courses in South Korea
Jeju is a trip of its own, about an hour's flight from Seoul's Gimpo or Incheon airports, and Nine Bridges needs a member introduction. South Cape on Namhae pairs a round with the resort's rooms, spa and restaurant. Jack Nicklaus Golf Club Korea in Incheon, Anyang in Gyeonggi Province and Woo Jeong Hills in South Chungcheong are members' clubs, so arrange a host or contact the club well before the trip.
