Best Golf Courses in Barbados
4 ranked courses in Barbados
Barbados has four clubs in this guide, three in the parish of St. James and one at Durants in Christ Church, on the south coast. Sandy Lane has three courses. Its Green Monkey, a par 72 of 7,343 yards by Tom Fazio that opened in 2004, is built in an old limestone quarry, where exposed rock faces frame the fairways, the ground rises and falls sharply and caddies are mandatory. Fazio also designed the resort's Country Club course, a more open 7,060 yards with lakes and views of the Caribbean, and the Old Nine, which opened in 1961, measures 3,345 yards. Royal Westmoreland, a Robert Trent Jones Jr. par 72 of 7,045 yards on the west coast, plays through a tropical estate with ocean views and tricky greens, with a halfway house on the course and a short game academy for chipping and putting. Apes Hill sits on a hilltop about 1,000 feet above sea level, with panoramic views over the ocean. It was the last design of Ron Kirby, it adds a par-3 course called Little Apes and an island-green par 3 played as a 19th hole, and the Staysure Legends Tour played the Barbados Legends there in April 2026. Kirby also rebuilt Barbados Golf Club, a public par 72 that reopened in 2000. Its triple green beside a lake is the layout's most unusual feature, and the club has hosted the Barbados Open, the Caribbean Junior Championships and the Eastern Caribbean Championships.

About Golf Courses in Barbados
Barbados is warm all year, and the drier months from roughly December to May are the most comfortable for golf. Barbados Golf Club is the open option: visiting golfers arrange tee times with the club, walking is permitted, and collared shirts are required, with no jeans. The Green Monkey is for Sandy Lane guests only, so book the room first and budget for the caddie. Royal Westmoreland plays for villa owners and rental guests, with a few tee times for approved offsite golfers, and Apes Hill asks visitors to confirm tee times and access before they travel.
