About Barbados Golf Club

Barbados Golf Club is an 18-hole, par 72 course at Durants in the parish of Christ Church, on the south coast of Barbados. Ron Kirby rebuilt it, and it reopened in 2000.

  • The triple green beside a lake is the layout's most unusual feature.
  • A bar and restaurant overlook the 18th green, so the round finishes at the clubhouse.
  • The pro shop rents power carts, pull trolleys, clubs and shoes, so visitors can arrive without equipment.
  • Walking the course is permitted, which suits golfers who prefer to play on foot.

History of Barbados Golf Club

In 2003 the course was approved to host a PGA European Tour Seniors event. It has also hosted the Barbados Open, the Caribbean Junior Championships and the Eastern Caribbean Championships.

Signature holes at Barbados Golf Club

Water hazards come into play on the course, so accuracy off the tee and into the greens matters.

When to play Barbados Golf Club

Barbados is warm all year. The drier months from roughly December to May are the most comfortable for golf, while the wetter summer and fall bring heavier showers and more humidity.
