Aurora International Golf Club is an 18-hole, par 72 course at Rendezvous Bay and the only golf course on Anguilla. The club calls its main layout the International Course, to tell it apart from the shorter nine-hole layout on the same property. From the course there are views over the Caribbean Sea toward St. Martin. The present layout was rebuilt with design modifications to suit the Caribbean setting, and the work was aimed at keeping the course among the best in the islands.
- Fairways and tees are planted with Latitude bermudagrass, and the greens with TifEagle bermudagrass.
- The rebuild added new bunkers and reconstructed the tees and greens on the 18 holes.
- Avalon Links is a nine-hole short course that opened in 2022 alongside the main layout.
- New forward tees were added, and the irrigation system was renovated.
History of Aurora International Golf Club
The course opened in 2006 as the CuisinArt Golf Club, part of the CuisinArt resort on Rendezvous Bay. Greg Norman Golf Course Design later carried out a complete tee-to-green redesign, overseen by Greg Norman and Jason McCoy. The reworked 18 holes reopened on April 1, 2022.
Signature holes at Aurora International Golf Club
The 18th asks for a tee shot over a salt pond and an approach to a narrow green guarded by three large bunkers. Earlier in the round, the 2nd and 10th holes share a double green, a feature that gives the layout a different feel from a standard 18.
When to play Aurora International Golf Club
Anguilla is warm all year, with a drier stretch in the first months of the year and more rain and humidity later on. Early tee times are cooler, and the sea breeze helps on the coastal holes.
