Takeo Aiyama and Hideo Takemura laid out the club's East and West courses, which opened in 1960. Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw remodeled the West course in 2016. The club hosted the Japan Open in 2018 and the PGA Tour's Baycurrent Classic in 2025. It is a private members' club.
