Best Golf Courses in the Philippines
5 ranked courses in Philippines
The Philippines has five clubs in this guide, four of them in Cavite and Laguna and one on the Bataan coast. Jack Nicklaus designed two of them. Manila Southwoods Golf & Country Club in Carmona, Cavite, has 36 holes: the Legends course opened on July 26, 1992, and the Masters followed a year later. The Masters, where water comes into play on 15 of the 18 holes and the par-4 9th finishes at an island green, has hosted the Philippine Open, and Australia won the 1996 Eisenhower Trophy at Southwoods. Sherwood Hills Golf Club at Trece Martires, also in Cavite, opened in 1998 and measures 7,265 yards, with ravines affecting many holes and wide, firm fairways in the manner of an inland links; it staged the Putra Cup in June 2013. In Laguna, Sta. Elena Golf Club in Santa Rosa is a 1992 Robert Trent Jones II design with 27 holes in three nines, Banahaw, Makiling and Sierra Madre, on land that came from the Yulo family. The Country Club at Canlubang in Calamba is a 1997 Tom Weiskopf course that has hosted the Philippine Open and is home to the TCC Invitational, the opening event of the Philippine Golf Tour. Anvaya Cove Golf & Sports Club at Morong, Bataan, designed by Kevin Ramsey of Golfplan with David Dale, follows a mountain ridge on the front nine before the back nine runs down to the sea, where the par-3 13th has a peninsular green dropping to the ocean on three sides.

About Golf Courses in Philippines
The Country Club plays by member invitation only, and Manila Southwoods and Sta. Elena are private clubs where visitors should arrange access with the club well ahead. Anvaya Cove takes visiting golfers through golf-travel agents; it lies on the Bataan coast west of Angeles City, so plan a road transfer. For Sherwood Hills and the other Cavite and Laguna clubs, allow generous road time from the capital. Cavite and Bataan are at their driest and coolest around the turn of the year.
