Best Golf Courses in Colombia

4 ranked courses in Colombia

Colombia has four clubs in this guide: two on the high plateau around Bogotá, one in the Cauca River valley and one on the coast at Cartagena. Club El Rincón de Cajicá, north of Bogotá, was founded in 1957 and plays a Robert Trent Jones Sr. course from the early 1960s, a par 72 of 7,464 yards on Kikuyu fairways. It hosted golf's World Cup in 1980, when teams came from 45 nations, and has staged the Inter Rapidísimo Golf Championship of PGA Tour Américas every year since 2022; Harry Hillier shot 59 there in 2024, the first 59 in that tour's history. At Funza, also on the plateau, San Andrés Golf Club is Stanley Thompson's par 72 of 1946, with Kikuyu fairways, poa greens and grass seed brought from Canada, on the site of former Socony Vacuum Oil offices. The estate adds a nine-hole short course, eco-chalets, glamping and an equestrian area. Club Campestre de Cali has a par-71 course established in 1956, the work of the Canadian architect Howard Watson, and it has hosted the Colombian Open several times. The club has hosted the Colombian Open several times, and the warm climate keeps its turf green all year. Club Karibana at Cartagena is a par-72 coastal course by Nicklaus Design that opened in 2012, at kilometer 12 of the Anillo Vial between Manzanillo del Mar and Punta Canoa, with a restaurant and a pro shop.

About Golf Courses in Colombia

Around Bogotá days are mild and evenings cool all year, and rain can come in any month, most often in April and May and again in October and November, so morning tee times are the driest. El Rincón, San Andrés and Club Campestre de Cali are private, so a round needs a member's invitation; for El Rincón a travel agency can also arrange it. Cali is warm all year and driest from December to February and June to August. Karibana takes visitors by reservation through the club or a tour operator.
