About Castlerock Golf Club
Castlerock Golf Club is a links club on the Causeway Coast in County Londonderry, led by the 18-hole, par 73 Mussenden course. The holes run through dunes close to the point where the River Bann meets the Atlantic. The club also has a nine-hole Bann course, a par 34 layout set among tall dunes.

History of Castlerock Golf Club
Castlerock was founded in April 1901 with nine holes. In 1908 Ben Sayers, the North Berwick professional and clubmaker, extended the course to 18 holes. Harry Colt later redesigned the layout in the 1920s. In the winter of 2017/18 Martin Hawtree reworked six holes of the Mussenden course.

The 4th, the Leg o' Mutton, is a par 3 of about 200 yards, with a burn on one side and a railway line on the other.
